Street resurfacing schedule for July 15-18

The Street Division has scheduled the following streets for slurry seal July 15-18 (dates subject to change):

Tuesday, July 15

• SE 4th Court (SE 4th to north end)
• Magnolia (SE 4th to SE 5th)

Wednesday, July 16

• Magnolia (SE 3rd to Myrtle)
• Myrtle (S. Magnolia to S. Duncan)
• Myrtle (S. Duncan to Duncan Terrace)

Thursday, July 17

• SE 3rd (S. Duncan to west end)
• SE 4th (Kansas to SE 4th Court)

Friday, July 18

• SE 4th (SE 4th Court to S. Magnolia)
• SE 2nd (S. Duncan to west end)
• Duncan Terrace (south end to SE 3rd)

It will be necessary to close scheduled streets during application and drying, usually eight to 10 hours. Work will begin at 7 a.m. Affected residents will be notified of the street closing one business day in advance by a notice placed at the front door. Inclement weather can cause delays or rescheduling. 

Residents should remove parked vehicles from the street prior to closing and keep vehicle and pedestrian traffic off the new surface until the street reopens. Vehicles remaining in the street may have to be towed at the owner's expense.
