Public Works

Newton’s Public Works Department serves more than 18,000 residents with water, sewer and trash service, maintains over 146 lane miles of streets and 8 miles of hike-bike trails, maintains over 286 acres of public parks and two cemeteries, and provides comprehensive public engineering and inspection services, as well as building maintenance for public buildings and shop services for the public fleet.
