Community Display Case
The City of Newton is excited to invite local organizations to be featured in the Community Display Case at City Hall. Located between the 2nd and 3rd floor landings, this three-shelf display case highlights the meaningful work of Newton-based organizations that help strengthen our community.
Each month, one organization is selected to create an informational display showcasing its programs, services, and positive impact on Newton. This space is designed to celebrate the people and organizations who make Newton a more connected, informed, and welcoming place for all.
Display Guidelines
The Community Display Case is intended to showcase organizations that provide non-advocacy community services and contribute positively to Newton’s quality of life, including (but not limited to):
- Education
- Public safety
- Health and wellness
- Youth development
- Culture and arts
- Volunteerism
To ensure the display remains welcoming, inclusive, and appropriate for audiences:
- Displays must be informational in nature and highlight programs, services, or activities that support community enrichment.
- Political messaging, issue-based advocacy, campaign materials, or content intended to influence public opinion on social or political matters are not permitted.
- All content must remain neutral, non-advocacy, family-friendly, and inclusive.
- Displays and content will be pre-approved by the City prior to installation.
- Materials must fit safely within the display case; no open food, liquids, or flammable items are permitted. Wall and floor space above the case may be used if needed.
- Nothing may be taped, glued, or pinned directly to the glass. Poster putty is acceptable.
- Participating organizations are responsible for installing and removing their materials within the approved timeframe.
- The City reserves the right to deny display requests that do not comply with these guidelines.
- The City is not responsible for loss or damage to displayed materials.
- It is first come, first served with a limit of one slot per year, depending on availability.
