The Newton Fire/EMS Foundation supports community risk reduction efforts that help prevent emergencies, improve public safety and protect the well-being of Newton residents. By supporting proactive prevention, education and outreach, the Foundation helps strengthen the work of Newton Fire/EMS and promote a safer community for everyone.

Community risk reduction efforts include:

  • Fire Prevention and Safety: Promoting fire safety awareness and helping residents understand how to prevent fires and reduce potential hazards.

  • Code Enforcement: Supporting efforts to identify and address fire and life safety concerns in buildings and properties.

  • Fire and Incident Investigations: Helping determine the causes and circumstances of fires and other incidents to identify risks and prevent similar events in the future.

  • Public Education: Providing educational opportunities and resources that equip residents with the knowledge and skills to make safer choices.

  • Community Paramedicine: Supporting proactive approaches to health and wellness that connect individuals with resources and services to address needs before they become emergencies.

Through these efforts, the Newton Fire/EMS Foundation helps identify risks, increase public awareness, strengthen prevention initiatives and support programs that make a lasting difference in the safety and well-being of our community.
