Mobile Food Vendor Licensing

Mobile food vendors operating in Newton must possess licenses from the Kansas Department of Agriculture and the City of Newton. 

Before a City license is issued, the truck or mobile unit must be inspected for fire safety and other provisions of City Code. The vendor also may submit valid proof of inspection from another participating central Kansas city. The vendor will receive a sticker to be displayed on the truck each year. To schedule an inspection, contact the Fire Marshal's Office at 316-284-6060.

The completed application and $50 annual license fee should be submitted to the City Clerk on the 3rd floor of City Hall, 201 E. 6th St.
