Tenth and Ash Park

Established in 1964, Tenth and Ash Park is a beloved neighborhood gem, spanning 4.55 acres of green space nestled beside the scenic Sand Creek Bike Path. Whether you're here to play, cheer on your ball team, enjoy a picnic, or simply delight in the outdoors, this park offers something for everyone.

Active visitors can take advantage of a full-size soccer field and a youth ballfield, while families appreciate the expansive playground, complete with a wide variety of play structures and a classic swing set. Picnic tables, a grill, a drinking fountain, and a seasonal restroom make it easy to spend the whole day enjoying the fresh air.

Nature lovers will find plenty to admire, too. The park's proximity to Sand Creek offers peaceful views, native grasses and wildflowers, and excellent opportunities for bird watching along the trail.

The enclosed shelter accommodates approximately 32 people and can be reserved by calling the Newton Recreation Center at 316-283-7330.
