Published on June 26, 2026
The Meridian Event Center will toast its 15th anniversary with an elegant dinner, live music and dancing, and a few surprises along the way.
The anniversary celebration is set for 6 p.m. Saturday, July 18, and will include a new, expanded dinner buffet prepared by Meridian’s in-house chefs.
Wichita’s George Sanders Blues Band will perform their popular blend of delta blues, R&B, jazz, funk and classic rock. The evening will conclude with a special champagne toast to honor the Meridian’s first 15 years and celebrate the future ahead.
Tickets are $30 per person, or $50 including access to the pre-event cocktail hour, a special swag bag, and one included bar drink ticket. Or a group can reserve a table of 10 for $750, complete with two bottles of wine and a commemorative glass for each guest to take home.

The evening’s program will include reflections on the center’s beginnings, milestones, and all the employees, clients, and partners who have helped make the Meridian Event Center what it is today.
“We look forward to celebrating this milestone with the community and making even more memories together,” Meridian General Manager Michael Parker said.
The Meridian opened on July 21, 2011, with a special grand opening event. The City-owned facility is designed to accommodate a wide range of events, from weddings and banquets to conferences and business meetings.
