In celebration of America’s 250th anniversary, the City of Newton is launching a community yard decorating contest!
Residents are invited to decorate their yard or outdoor space in celebration of Independence Day – whatever that means to you: classic Americana or more creative interpretations.
Sign up to participate online with your name, address, and photos of your decorated space.
Submissions will be accepted through June 26.
Yards will be judged by a panel of volunteers. Entries will be judged on creativity, patriotic theme, overall impact, and community spirit, with bonus points for including Newton-inspired elements.
The winner will receive a prize package and will be recognized at Rockets & Rails on July 3 and at an upcoming City Commission meeting.
