Newton City offices will be closed Monday, Sept.1 for Labor Day, which will also alter the trash pickup schedule.
Trash normally picked up on Monday will be picked up Tuesday, Sept. 2. And trash normally picked up on Tuesday will be picked up Wednesday, Sept. 3.
The rest of the week's routes will run as usual. Please make sure to have trash bins at the curb before 7 a.m. on collection day.
