This position performs utility construction and maintenance activities, and clears debris from work sites as needed. The employee sprays for elimination of unwanted grass and weeds and does other related duties as assigned. The employee may also check lift stations and records information on charts. We need a municipal government generalist who is passionate about municipal budgeting processes, finance, and the policies related to those operations. Our Finance Director recently retired and this Assistant City Manager role is new to the organization. This person will be: the primary contact for the City Manager, City Commission, City Department Heads and Citizens for matters relating to the municipal budget; a primary ambassador within the community for municipal finance and budgeting; expected to capitalize on opportunities to exercise leadership. The Assistant City Manager will work with the municipal finance staff on matters relating to systems, and processes within the Finance Department. The Finance Department is responsible for functions such as: the capital improvement program, equipment reserve program, municipal bonds, budgeting, financial reports, financial analysis, and utility billing. It is anticipated that this job will also include a diverse range of municipal projects to be conducted in conjunction with other department heads within the municipal organization. Current annual salary range is: $71,375 to $93,974. Salary and benefits may be negotiable depending on qualifications.
