Bulky item pickup is available to residential customers for a $10 fee. It may be used for the disposal of large furniture, tree limbs, appliances, televisions, carpeting and other large items. Bulky items are normally picked up on your regular collection day. Unusual situations such as high volume of calls or reallocation of personnel for emergency response may necessitate changes to the pickup schedule.
Contact the Sanitation office at least one day before your regular trash/recycling collection day to schedule a bulky item pickup. The $10 fee will be added to your next utility bill.
To qualify, you must be an active City sanitation customer, you must have the account in your name, and you must be the owner or occupant of the property. Participation may be declined if you are delinquent on a utility bill.
Place bulky items at the curb with adequate space for automated loading. Stay away from overhead obstacles such as trees and utility lines. Do not put bulky items in the street.
Items may be set out after 5 p.m. on the evening before, but not later than 7 a.m. on your regular collection day.
The Sanitation Division will not pick up regular trash, construction and demolition materials, or any materials resulting from contractor work on the property, automobiles, tires larger than passenger car or pickup truck, hazardous materials or recyclables as a bulky item pickup. There is a limit of five items per pickup.
