The Newton Police Department Warrant Officer / Municipal Court Bailiff is in charge of handling extradition for Newton Municipal Court Warrants, maintaining files for all active Newton Warrants, handling Municipal Court Bailiff duties while court is in session and delivering subpoenas issued to department personnel.
Throughout 2015, the Warrant Officer delivered 1,315 District Court subpoenas, 286 Municipal Court subpoenas, made 180 warrant arrests and handled 147 prisoner transports.
